  3_Interest in the targeted populations such as children or the elderly;

  7_I have an aptitude for the specialty

  18_Encounter with role model junior doctors

  1. Factor analysis identified 5 factors that influence career preference on the basis of a set of variables in a questionnaire conducted in 4th and 6th year medical students as well as junior doctors. A principal factor analysis and promax rotation was used since inter-correlations between possible factors were expected from literature and our preliminary analysis. Among 30 items in the questionnaire; 7 items were excluded because of the reasons described at the bottom. Cronbach’s alpha coefficiencies demonstrated internal consistency ranged between 0.70 and 0.86.
